What is Njam?
At the end of 2014, we decided to turn the annual fruit harvest and jam cooking into a branded product-line. Home-made chutneys, jams and sauces. And as we experiment, we are finding the most wonderful tastes and turning them into truly lekker products.
I learned to cook jam from my Mom, and saldy, it seems to be a dying art. Home-made jams are selling at premium prices, and no-one shares their tips and tricks anymore. Well, I decided to change this. I am quite interested in starting a South African Jammers Guild, but I need to get some time first. However, on LoveCooking I am going to share my own trade secrets on the (almost lost) art of jam making.
