When I think of lemonade I am reminded of Charlie Brown and Peanuts. I remember the lemonade stall and I am sure that the graphic image of the lemonade stall on the curb had something to do with me becoming an entrepreneur.
This recipe was found by Alexander, don't know where on the www, so I cannot give credit where it is due. And this recipe deserves credit.
Well, here goes, not much of a recipe, but then simplicity is elegance…
|Lemon Juice||1 1/2 cups (375ml)|
|Sugar||1 3/4 cups (440ml)|
|Water||8 cups (2 liter)|
|Fresh garden mint||About 20-25 leaves, according to taste (I like more, Heidi less)|
1. Put the ingredients in a large flask, or as we have it, the flask of our Bamix (Swiss vavavoom hand blender)
2. Whizz it up until the sludge is green and the mint is completely pureed. (Nothing as irritating as spitting mint stalks like a cowboy smoking unfiltered cigarettes).
3. Add the water, blitz until the sugar sludge is dissolved, chill and enjoy.
4. Make enough, it literally flies off the table! (We tend to make 2,5l at a time, as the new plastic coke bottles are 2,25l. We make two. haha, math joke.
